The “Woodsong” CD

Pete recorded this CD with our daughter, Maya, when she was 15 years old, to demonstrate the sounds of the instruments which he builds. After the birth of our first grandchild, we gave a copy to his nursery school. It subsequently became popular in a number of nursery schools in our area.

On the CD, Maya sings a beautiful version of “Amazing Grace”, accompanied by guitar and didgeridoo.Maya is now a well-known singer-songwriter (and was voted the “Discovery of the Year” in Israel in 2012). Her first CD, “Safe & Sound” reached gold in Israel, and her songs are played on the main Israeli music stations. She is now based in New York, where she recorded her second album, “All of the Miles” and is presently recording her third solo album.

Pete wrote at the time:
“Over the past four and a half years, I have had many requests for a CD of the sounds which people hear in the studio. I feel blessed to have been able to record this disc with my daughter, Maya. Neither of us are professional musicians (although Maya is a talented singer-songwriter) and our aim is to express the natural warmth and friendliness of the instruments. We hope you enjoy listening to the disc as much as we enjoyed recording it.”
