Xylophones

Since I was a kid, I have been mesmerized by the sounds of the African xylophones I used to hear around me in Johannesburg and dreamt of one day being able to build and play them myself. I have been very lucky to be able to realize my dream. The xylophone keys are made from recycled teak, which I took from discarded outdoor furniture. The keys are tuned in the C Major Scale, and I also decorate them with hand-painted, ethnic designs.
